My Easter MAC must haves and some Katy

Hi! Who's excited for the Easter bunny tomorrow?;)  I wanted to share two of my favorite MAC products that are  perfect for Easter.  This amazing nail polish is called Mischievous Mint. It's the perfect mint green!  I'm wearing it now and it just makes me think of spring and candy, so definitely perfect for Easter!

This second product is Coralbliss lipstick from MAC.  I can honestly say this is my ALL TIME favorite lipstick color.  It's the perfect peachy/pinky pale lip.  I feel like it gives my skin more of a youthful glow when I wear it. I know that sounds weird, but really try this color and you may just see what I'm talking about!  This is another perfect lip color for Easter, it too reminds me of spring and candy.

For my final product today I wanted to mention Katy Perry lashes.  I have Oh honey and Sweetie Pie.  I am for sure a fan of her lashes! I loved how they really played up my eyes, but yet looked natural.  I've tried a few different brands of false eyelashes, and so far Katy Perry Lashes are my favorite yet.  So if you are contemplating on trying false lashes give Katy Perry a go!  One little tip, wash your lashes and put them back in the case if you want to reuse them.  You can reuse false lashes a few times before discarding them.

***Well off to be the Easter Bunny at my house, Thank you for reading! Have  a HaPpY EaStEr!!!

OH Sultana!!

Hello:), So today I'm going to bring it back to Lush products.  Like I said I have so many favorites from this line!  I'm starting off with Sultana soap. Its such a creamy, clean, fresh, mixed with a french bakery scent.  I love the lather this soap makes, and I really like how the scent stays on your skin for hours.  Lush is  very unique with their soaps, they cut the chunk for you.
The second product from Lush I want to talk about is Seanik  shampoo bar. I like to mix it up with my shampoos and This bar I like to use once a week to get just a really nice deep clean.  It lathers so nice and my hair feels so soft after using this bar.  The scent is a light beachy smell. I definitely want to try the other shampoo bars they have.  Its really easy to pack this for traveling.  Lush sells a little metal tin for this.  This is $11.95 and it can last over 50 shampoos.

**Before I go I wanted to mention a very yummy candy that my friend Jordan got me addicted to, it's marketpantry sour watermelon gummy slices.  They are not sour,so it's weird they say sour.  I'm addicted to these! I can't let myself buy these very often;)

Ok thank you so much for reading today and please feel free to let me know some of your favorites!

Jumpin' Jelly Bean has me Jumping for joy!!!

With Easter right around the corner and the Easter bunny bringing lots of candy, the Jumpin' n Jelly Bean Scentsy bar is the perfect scent! This is one of my top favorite wax scent bars to have burning around the house.  It smells like jellybeans and brightens your mood:) If you have never checked out Scentsy be sure to check out Scentsy.com!  They have sooooooo many scents to choose from! I have so many scents I love it would take a while to list all of them, but a few others I'm loving right now with spring around the corner are: Pixie,Sugar, Honeymoon hideaway, Rio Beach, and Strawberry. Like I have said before scent plays a huge part in my  life. Its  like a form of therapy to me.  Scents can make you feel warm and cozy, happy, energized,  sleepy, calm, motivated,etc...Look a Christmas time how Cinnamon, vanilla, cookie scent, peppermint, orange and clove it makes you automatically excited, happy and in the "holiday mood". The same goes for Thanksgiving we smell pumpkin, apple pie, cinnamon and it does the same thing. The familiar scents of times that make us so happy.   So I like to create happy feelings with scent everyday  in my house:) If you try out Jumpin' Jelly Bean let me know what you think.  Also if there is a great smelling candle or scent thing you want to share I wouldlove to hear about it!  Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

Lips soft as a baby's.......

Hello everyone!! Sorry I have been MIA the past couple days.  I wanted to write a short blog tonight about one of my favorite lip balms.  I have an addiction to lip balms and glosses!  I have almost every flavor of the Maybelline Baby lips.  They are flavored sheer color or clear lip balms.  I have the cherry, grape, quench(which is clear) bright pink( I am not sure on the flavor, it's something fruity) Plummy, and Peach.
Here is a pic of 4 of the Baby Lip colors to show how sheer and glossy the color is. (Left to right)
Cherry- Sheer red, smells like cherry koolaid...My favorite scent of all of them!!
Grape- Sheer Purple, smells like Grape Koolaid
Hot Pink- Sheer bright pink, smells like guava or something tropical
Peach- Sheer Peach/pale nude, smells like peaches and cream

*If you love soft lips, like sheer color with a gloss sheen, and love yummy flavored lip balms, definitely try Maybelline Baby Lips!!  I really feel like you can't go wrong with these.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! XOXO

Lush..a little Rock Star and Ro's

Hello,  I wanted to write about two of my favorite Lush products.  Let me just say that Lush is one of my favorite lines and I have so many favorites that it would take a long time to name them all, so I figured I would just write about two of them tonight.  I will share more Lush products in another blog.

First is Rockstar soap, it makes me think pink, girly, and candy.  I wish they would make a lotion in this scent because I can't get enough of it!  The soap lasts a long time and i have to say normally I NEVER like bar soaps, but Lush I'm guilty of loving.  If you like candy, girly scents you will probably love this soap.

The second product is Ro's Argan body conditioner.  I can honestly say this is my very FAVORITE Lush product.  I normally never like any kind of floral scent, but this product is a sweet rose jam scent.  Its like candied roses with fruit jam.  Maybe that's a bad explanation but that's what it is like for me.  My skin is left so soft and sweet smelling after I use this.  Truly an amazing product that I don't think you can go wrong with.

Sorry tonights blog is so short as I have to be up very early tomorrow for work but I wanted to make sure to at least share two products I adore.  Thanks for reading!!

mmmm... why do you smell like the beach??

Hello there, as I was sitting here in snowy cold MN, I thought to myself I need to smell like the beach today.  I know I wrote this in a past blog, but just in case you are new to my blog I'm obsessed with yummy smelling everything! Lotions, perfumes, candles, essential oils, etc. if it smells yummy I'm obsessed.  So I thought I would step away from the make up side today and write about how to smell like the beach.  I now scented stuff can smell different on everyone because of our body chemistry, but I will share what smells like the beach on me and you can try it if you like.:)

(above picture shown is Victoria Secret Pink Beach line.  I love these! Total beach smell! One is very coconut mixed with beach, one is more a Hawaiian flower with beach, and one is a dewberry mixed with ocean breeze scent.  I believe they are discontinued but you may be able to find online, just be cautious with buying a scented product that is discontinued as they do expire.)

Lotions:Treehut Hawaiian Kukoi lotion and body scrub-mmmmmm so good used it today!!!! Body Shop coconut( I also love the coconut milk body lotion spray), Bath and Body works coconut pineapple-MY FAV! sad to say I think its discontinued unless they bring it back for summer, Bobbi Brown beach lotion- this is a little spendy for a lotion, but it literally smells like the beach, there is also a beach perfume.  I don't use this one anymore as I have found mixing my own coconut, pineapple, or ocean clean smelling lotion with a perfume makes a more unique "beachy" smell. For lotion I would say play around find a scent that fits you that you think smells like the beach.  Most coconut or pineapple ones are good to find as they will mix with your perfume and give you that yummy beach and suntan lotion smell.  Bath and Body works Malibu Heat- love this it smells like coconut, fruity, with a soft beachy background.

Shower Gels:  The one above is one of my favs right now.  Its Softsoap Citrus Splash and Berry Fusion- it smells like fruit and water, not super beachy but its very clean fruity with a touch of water scent, Philosophy Coconut Frosting- Philosophy actually makes a few beach smelling shower gels and lotions if you look online, Honestly I switch my shower gels all the time so to list all of them that I love that smell "beachy" would take a while.  I would suggest just looking for coconut, pineapple, Hawaiian floral, sea salt, or watery smells.

Perfumes: Escada Into the blue- let me start off by saying this is discontinued and it was my all time favorite perfume! It was my signature scent....ugh so bummed:( but this perfume was a fruity mix with the ultimate aquatic beach smell, Versace Bright Crystal- a very clean scent but mixed with a warmer scented lotion like coconut or pineapple gives a beach smell, Davidoff Cool Water- I no longer wear this as everyone and their mom seems to have it but a great water scent, Armani Aqua Di Gio- another scent from my past smells very aquatic with a little flowers, they have a new one called Armani Aqua Di Gioia, I love this but it mixes more like a alcohol smell on my skin so I didn't end up buying it, but give it a try because I love the way it smelled in the bottle, Eternity Aqua- new scent buy Eternity that smells very aquatic.

**There's so many combos I could go on for hours so I just wanted to mention a few, its all about finding what mixes well with your chemistry and trying different combos to get the exact scent you want.  I love the smell of the yummy banana boat and Hawaiian tropic sunscreens but I can only wear those in the summer when I'm outside so I just look for different ways to recreate that scent.   If you have any questions or want to know more scents on this or want help recreating a "scent" you love please let me know.  Also if you know any "beachy" smelling products leave a comment I would love to hear about them.  The same goes with hair products and candles pick out the Coconut, pineapple, watery smelling scents on these products to get the full effect.  I'm one that when I want to smell like beach I use everything from my soap to my lotion to my perfume to my shampoos and conditioners to layer it and have the scent last longer, same goes when I want to smell like candy( which is a whole other blog I will do sometime).  Thank you again for reading and if you want to subscribe to my blog there is ways on my page to subscribe by email, follow me on pinterest, my google+, or by blogger.  Have a great day!!!

Clean Slate

I have used many great cleansers and moisturizers.  I tend to go back to Philosophy Purity cleanser and Hope in a jar moisturizer(see picture posted).  It just makes my skin feel super clean and refreshed, and I love the clean smell of both the cleanser and moisturizer.

I also Love Revision skincare line that we sell at the clinic I work at.  I switch off between this and the purity.  I use the Revision Brightening was.

Also one thing I was blessed to get from my work which changed my skin and I can never live without is my clarisonic Pro(see above pic) This is the exact one I have and I love that it's pink:).

As far as make up remover wipes my favorite that I use to wipe off my eye makeup with first is Ponds soothing white tea and chammomile.

If the price of some of these products is too steep you might like St. Ives apricot scrub I still to this day after using all the products I have love this one! Its smells nice and gives you face a nice glow.  It really removes the dead skin, and for cleansers Neutrogena, Aveeno, and cetaphil are great drug store brands that a lot of dermatologists recommend and give away samples at their office.

***For my last skin care tip some may think I'm crazy for but if I have a pimple starting I put Honey on it and got to bed.  Honestly when I first heard of putting honey on pimples I thought yuck! But don't knock it till you try it! It doesnt work for every ones skin type but it really works for me!  Also I have mixed organic sugar mixed with honey as a facial scrub before and this is a very good DIY facial scrub and very nice to the wallet too:)  Ok go ahead and ask any questions or leave a comment about your skincare regimen. Thanks for reading!!!

St. Pattys Day ideas

Since there is a lot of St. Patricks day parties going on tomorrow I thought I would write a couple fun tips before I go to bed.

Wearing bright green eyeshadow can be too harsh for most skin tones and can end up looking "clownish".  Instead maybe going for a smoky eye with greens would work a bit better.  I apologize for not having any videos showing a easy way to acheive a smoky eye, I promise I will try to get some "how to" videos up soon.  If you wear a sultry smoky eye with the greens to make the eyes pop more try to wear a pale pink, peach, or nude color so the lips wont take away from they eyes.  If smoky eye is not your thing then going with a pale green and just playing up the eye liner is a nice sleek look.

For nails the things you can do are endless, but my FAV right now is painting all my nails a color and then painting my ring finger a different color.   This  style has  been in for a while now nut to mee its funky but not over the top.  I think I may do all black nails and leave my ring finger is a shamrock green for St. Patricks Day.  Another fun combo would be paint all the nails shamrock green and then paint the ring finger a sparkly silver.  Well its very late and I should finally get to bed but I wanted to at least post a little something before all the parties tomorrow.  Sorry this post was not detailed in how to do a smoky eye but I will get to that soon.  Thanks for reading!

A little about me and why I started this blog..

I'm doing things backwards.  I should've started my blog with a little about me, but I was too excited to start talking products so I jumped ahead.  So I will try to explain why I started this and a little about me without dragging the story on.

I am currently a CMA at a Vein/Cosmetic surgery clinic.  Before I went to school to become a CMA I was an esthetician.  I mainly went to esthetician school to just have that license behind me while I was a freelance make up artist.  I worked for MAC, Philosophy and Benefit, and then freelanced for Lancome and a line called Tony and Tinas( no not the play).  To me make up has been my passion since I was about 14yrs old.  I was the girl in middle school trying to perfect the "cat eye" look after watching the movie Cry Baby.  I think some thought it was cool that I wore my eyeliner like that and some just thought I was a freak.  The cat eye look wasn't really in when I was 14yrs old so I was taking a risk.  But since then its been my signature look.  When I turned 18 I started having people ask me if I did makeup for proms or weddings, and thats really how I got into free lancing and it just took off from that point.  You might ask why did you go back to school for medical.  I have a passion for both.  I love helping people and I think that is why I love both fields.  In different ways I'm helping people, taking care of someone, and making them feel better.  I started this blog due to a few people telling me to start a blog with all my tips with make up and products.  I had to really think about it since I am NOT a writer what so ever, so I apologize in advance  for poor grammar, and if my sentences don't make sense. But I agreed with them that I love to talk about products, share my  knowledge and maybe along the way learn new tips also.  One thing that I really love almost more then makeup and yes I admit am obsessed with is yummy scents!!  I have this thing I  love to do with perfumes and lotions to make a unique scent and thats combine certain scents to make a particular scent for instance, if I want to smell like a lemon cream pie, I will mix vanilla lotion with a lemon perfume, or a beach scent I will mix maybe pineapple or cococnut scent with a aquatic perfume, same with making strawberry shortcake, or candy inspired etc..... I could talk on this subject for hours since the combos are endless.  I love to come up with things for friends if they are trying to smell like something.  I usually can find a lotion or body splash to mix with a perfume to make it what they want.....hmmmm are you weirded out yet?? ;) I guess to me scent is like a form of therapy, you  know if you go on a vacation and smell a amazing scent that memory is linked with that scent. I just realized I started rambling on this, as you can see I'm passionate about it.  I will stop with the rambling on this and just get to blogging since thats why I'm here.  Let me say this please feel free to ask me as many questions as you like.  I love to talk about this stuff and would love to answer any questions and would love any tips you have or if you are obsessed with a product let me know I love hearing about it! Since I'm new to this it may take me a bit to get the hang of this and also I will try to get some "how to" videos up soon.... not sure I'm excited to talk on a video but my bff told me I needed to show people in person different makeup tricks.  So I will leave it at that and start blogging on tips and products and hope you enjoy my blog:)

March goodies****

Favorite scented body lotion, bubble bath, and shower gel...Archipelago Oat Milk

For scent I only wear very candy sweet or vanilla baked goods scents or I go for a clean fresh sometimes aquatic scent. I'm ALWAYS searching for new scents and have WAY too many lotions, perfumes, hair products, bubble baths, shower gels etc... You name it i probably have it.... Me addicted you say?... Never;) ok but back to the Archipelago line the Oat Milk is my all time favorite EVER!!! It's actually not a scent I would usually see myself loving but it's like milk and honey tea mixed with fresh and clean and I can't get enough!!! You can buy this line at Ulta. I love to take a hot bubble bath with the Oat milk bubbles and then wash my body with the shower gel then get out and put the lotion on. I will say I'm not as much into the bar soap as one I'm not a bar soap girl I prefer shower gels, two it doesn't smell as yummy I'm the bar soap. Also I have bought the hand wash before to put on my side of the bathroom sink. Hmmmmm now I need to go get more of that because I LOVE it!!! They also make this line it a soy milk they smell very similiar but I like the oat scent a lot more... So if you are like me and love new yummy scented products try this one! Men love it on you too!!

I also have the archipelago brown sugar and vanilla body lotion, this one is pretty good but doesn't compare to the oat milk in my opinion. This is a lemon sugar scent and very light. I like to wear it if I wear a lemon scented perfume. Ok so I will be back soon with more of my favorites...I have soooo many products to share with u that I'm trying to figure out where to start!! So please bare with me as this is all new to me and along the way I will be trying to figure out what blogging style fits me best, trying different page set ups, etc.... Please feel free to leave comments and also any products you want to share because I love trying new things! Xoxo

First day ever blogging....

Ok... So I have been asked by a few people to start a blog.  I'm not  sure if it was a compliment or if it was just that I'm so annoying constantly talking about my favorite products, candy, food, make up and most of all yummy scents and candles that they just wanted me to put it in a blog and stop talking about to them;) Scent is seriously like a therapy to me....and yes I'm weird;) so one thing I will mention, I can talk about products and everything I love for hours, I will say I am a HORRIBLE writer so I'm sure in my blog you will see many grammar mistakes and maybe it won't make sense but hey writing is not my passion.  I hope you enjoy my blog and if you ever want me to talk about something, if you have any questions, or just want to give a product a shout out (yes I said shout out) then go right ahead and post a comment. I love feedback and learning about new things! Ok soooooo onto blogging
